How To Draw Cartoon Birds
Step 1: Draw An Oval or Circle Shape
A simple round shape is best for kids to work with to start. You can change this shape to be more realistic if you like.
Step 2: Add Feet & Eyes
You can make more claw-type feet or feet using simple lines. Some birds have long legs and for others, you can barely see their feet.
Kids will love adding unique eyes to their birds. You can have large eyes with eyelashes or simple dots.
Step 3: Add A Beak
You can make a large beak, a small triangle beak, a beak eating a worm, etc. Consider if you want to be looking at your bird from a frontal view or a side view.
Step 4: Add Wings
These wings can be flying, closed in tight, or just at their sides. Simple lines and shapes work really well.
