How To Make A Turkey Punch Game

images of prize, cups with prizes, tissue paper on cups and hot glue being added to cup.

Step 1: Add Prizes To The Cups

Just make sure that they are light enough.

Step 2: Cut Tissue and Add 2 Layers To Each Cup

We find using larger squares of tissue paper (about 8″ x 8″) works best. Double up a heavy rubber and place it around the cup.

Step 3: Hot Glue Cups On

Use a generous amount of hot glue on the bottom of the cups.

Step 4: Make Your Turkey

  1. Cut a turkey body shape out of an opened pop case or piece of cardboard.
  2. Cut a red construction paper head, a yellow construction paper beak and white ovals for eyes. Draw details and glue your construction paper to the cardboard.
  3. Make a circle and cut slits for feathers and add behind the body.

Step 5: Attach The Turkey

clear packing tape on the top of red plastic cups.

We donut rolled packing tape on 5 cups we did not need to use due to the size of the party.

Step 6: Have Fun Punching

Tips

  • Test the tightness of your tissue paper. You want to get that “pop” feeling. Adding two layers of tissue paper and doubling your thicker rubber band should help.
  • We found it easiest to work with larger squares of tissue paper (larger than 7” x 7”).
  • This game moves quickly, so we always like to have another activity (like our placemat color sheeting) for kids to complete before they can punch.
