Make this easy DIY Christmas tree punch cup game for your next classroom party or holiday gathering. Kids will love punching through the tissue paper to reveal fun prizes!
BEFORE YOU BEGIN: Choose how many cups you want to use and make sure your foam core board is large enough to arrange them in a Christmas tree shape.
ADD PRIZES AND CUT TISSUE PAPER: Place lightweight prizes inside each plastic cup. Cut green and white tissue paper into squares about 7" x 7" or larger.
COVER THE CUPS: Place two layers of tissue paper over each cup. Secure the paper tightly with two rubber bands or a doubled rubber band.
GLUE CUPS TO THE BOARD: Arrange your cups in a triangular Christmas tree shape. Add a generous amount of hot glue to the bottom of each cup and press it onto the foam core board. Hold for a few seconds until secure.
FINISH YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE: Continue adding cups to complete your Christmas tree design. Add optional bows or other decorations.
Notes
Use two layers of tissue paper for a better popping sound.
Choose lightweight prizes so the cups stay attached to the board.
Use more hot glue than you think you need to securely attach each cup.
If you want to reuse your board, attach decorations to the cups instead of the foam core.
