Workable Fixative
Instructions
Draw a crazy abstract line with glue. Start on one side of the paper and criss-cross the lines to make small shapes. Add extra lines if needed.
Let the glue completely dry.
Use chalk pastels to add color and designs to the abstract chalk art.
Kids can use their fingers to blend colors, add highlights and shadows.
Spray with workable fixative when done and let it dry.

Notes
Keep your line drawing simple.
Before you begin using chalk pastels, consider talking about balance and contrast.
Make sure to lay your glue drawings completely flat to dry. Most drying racks have a tilt, and the drawings will drip or smear.
We recommend showing children how to use one finger to blend chalk pastels.
Extra smudges can be cleaned with an eraser before spraying.
